On November 1st, Riga hosted the international conference “VID 30: Transformation and Sustainability” to mark the 30th anniversary of the State Revenue Service (VID). The conference focused on key issues in tax administration development, including excellent customer experience, security challenges, and opportunities presented by modern and efficient data processing and analysis.
Speakers included VID Director General Ieva Jaunzeme, Finance Minister Arvils AĊĦeradens, LCCI President Aigars Rostovskis, EU Taxation and Customs Union Director General Gerassimos Thomas, IOTA Executive Secretary Alix Perrignon de Troyes, and other experienced experts.
The conference featured insightful discussions on the future of tax administration and highlighted the importance of innovation and sustainability in ensuring efficient and effective tax systems. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from the experiences of various international experts and explore new strategies for improving tax administration practices.
